Forensic anthropology

Since 1998, the staff of the Center of Bone Biology has been frequently involved in forensic teams, participating in excavations of numerous mass graves in Serbia, anthropological analysis of skeletal remains, and identification of victims. Working in close cooperation with international organizations (ICMP, ICRC, Eulex) teams significantly contributed to the improvement of standards of excavations, particularly indicating the context-specificities necessary to undertake an effective mass grave investigation.
